The Magnolia mayoral race is one of the races on the May 4 ballot this year. (Lizzy Spangler/Community Impact) With 24 of 24 election day precincts reporting, incumbent Todd Kana lost his re-election bid to challenger and Position 2 City Council member Matthew “Doc” Dantzer in the race for Magnolia mayor, according to results from Montgomery County. Kana received 45%, or 93 votes, while Dantzer received 55%, or 112 votes.
