MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas — A standoff involving the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team ended peacefully with the suspect in custody, authorities said. On April 23, 2026, at approximately 1:35 p.m., deputies from the East Command Patrol and the Crime Reduction Unit responded to a welfare check in the 22000 block of Clear Castle Drive. The call came from a concerned family member who reported that the suspect had removed his court-ordered ankle monitor and had active felony warrants from Tarrant County for stalking and retaliation, according to a press release from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
