Last night, the Montgomery High School Theatre Department, known as Montgomery Theatre, celebrated the successful premiere of “Matilda: The Musical”. The audience was treated to a captivating performance that brought Roald Dahl’s beloved story to life, filled with magic, laughter, and the indomitable spirit of its young protagonist, Matilda Wormwood.
The production, featuring a talented cast of students and live music performed by the school band, received standing ovations for its stunning set designs, vibrant costumes, and powerful performances. The musical’s message of courage, intelligence, and the power of kindness resonated deeply with the audience.
One ticket holder, Alex, shared their thoughts on the evening: “The energy electric. You could really see the hard work that these students put into the show. It was truly inspiring.”
