The boyfriend of a slain woman has been charged in her shooting in a case where the victim’s children found her dead in her Splendora home last month. Jacob Otis Cavanaugh, 40, of Goodrich, was charged Monday with murder in the mid-March death of Holly Vines, 40, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. Cavanaugh is being held with no bond at the Montgomery County Jail in Conroe, jail records show.
