Just after 2 am Saturday Montgomery County 911 call-takers received a call for an auto-pedestrian crash on FM 1774 at FM 149. Magnolia Fire and MCHD responded to the scene and found a 34-year-old female deceased in the roadway. DPS Troopers arrived to start the investigation and determined the female had been in the southbound lane of the roadway walking when she stepped away from the curb and was struck by a southbound Honda Accord. She was thrown over the vehicle after impact. The driver of the Honda was not injured. It was determined he was not impaired. The investigation continues and no charges are expected. Montgomery County Justice of the Peace Wayne Mack responded to the scene and ordered an autopsy. The female was transported to the Montgomery County Forensic Center for autopsy.
