PURSUIT OF STOLEN CAR ENDS IN ARREST

Just after 1 am on Friday a Montgomery County Precinct 4 Deputy Constable was traveling north on I-69 at SH 99 when he attempted to stop a 2013 Toyota as a possible impaired driver. The driver sped up to over 100 mph. Precinct 4 Deputies continued north to the FM 2090 exit in Splendora where the driver exited, almost struck a truck, lost the back bumper, and continued through the intersection and back onto the freeway. THe driver continued to Cleveland SH 105 exit where she turned into the Walmart parking lot and surrendered. Deputies arrested Jyana Lanea Adams, 18, of Cleveland for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. The vehicle was stolen on Thursday in the city of Cleveland. Adams is currently out on bond from Liberty County on another auto theft charge. Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Liberty County Sheriff’s Office, and Cleveland Police assisted in the pursuit.
