FOOTBALL: Magnolia falls to Lone Star in area playoffs

CORSICANA — Magnolia fell behind by three scores early Friday night in the Region II-5A (Div. I) area round, then was able to cut the deficit to five points late. In the end, the No. 9 state-ranked Bulldogs couldn’t complete the comeback in a 40-28 loss to Frisco Lone Star at Tiger Field.
