The Woodlands Township is moving forward with developing a 50-acre nine-hole public golf course in the new 208-acre South Gosling Park. Board members unanimously agreed Thursday to allow staff to negotiate a contract for the project with Houston-based Early Bird. Early Bird operates East River 9 Golf Course, a public nine-hole course off Hirsch Road in Houston.
