At 8:30 pm Friday night North Montgomery County Fire was dispatched to a reported explosion on FM 1484 near Jody Lane. Units arrived at a land clearing operation to find several pieces of logging equipment called skidder fully involved in fire. Once they were extinguished the Montgomery County Fire Marshals Office was notified to investigate. A new skidder of this type is valued at close to $350,000. Anyone with information is asked to call the Montgomery County Fire Marshals Office or Crimestoppers.
