NAVASOTA, Texas — A traffic stop in Navasota led to the arrest of a South Carolina man linked to multiple theft cases, according to the Grimes County Sheriff’s Office. On February 13, 2026, at approximately 12:45 p.m., the Grimes County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit stopped a blue Nissan Kicks for following too closely on State Highway 105 near County Road 410. The vehicle was connected to several theft incidents in surrounding counties, where a male suspect targeted gymnasiums and stole credit/debit cards and other identifying information.
