MONTGOMERY, Texas – A coordinated effort between the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and the Harris County Sheriff’s Office has resulted in the arrest of a fugitive wanted for sexual assault. Jose Quintanilla was apprehended on January 15, 2026, on two outstanding warrants for Sexual Assault of a Child. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Crime Reduction Unit and Gang Unit played a crucial role in assisting Harris County detectives in tracking and safely apprehending Quintanilla. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Jail for processing, according to a press release from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
