Just before 9 pm Tuesday an unidentified man attempted to cross the 2200 block of I-45 near North Loop 336 when he was struck by a northbound vehicle. MCHD responded to the scene along with Conroe Fire. CPR was initiated but the male was then pronounced deceased. Montgomery County Precinct 1 Justice of the Peace Wayne Mack ordered Eickenhorst Funeral Directors to transport the victim to the Montgomery County Forensic Center for autopsy and positive identification. The northbound lanes of I-45 were closed for over an hour as Conroe Police completed the investigation.
